Acoustics/NVH Test Capability

We use a range of test setups to characterise all elements of acoustics and NVH, in addition to being able to accurately measure transmission loss. See our section on Fluid Dynamics Test Capability for more information. We can make advanced measurement on all of the following:

• Transmission loss, Insertion loss and noise reduction
• Modal analysis
• Sound intensity
• Acceleration and velocity measurements on structures.

Transmission loss

Using the transmission loss test rig we can evaluate the acoustic properties of prototypes and OEM exhaust systems. Sending a noise through the system and recording the response gives information about the damping over the frequency range.
