London Ultra Low Emission Zone

The London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) was due to come into force in September 2020, the Mayor of London is now consulting on bringing this forward to April 2019. The zone will initially cover the same area as the congestion charging zone and the Mayor will consult on expanding this to the whole of Greater London for from 2020. The zone will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The minimum standard for buses, coaches and HGV to enter the zone without charge, is Euro VI for both NOx and particulate matter, vehicles retrofitted with approved retrofit technologies can also enter the zone without charge. Eminox SCRT® achieves emissions levels equivalent to Euro VI and we already have our first official pass to this standard.
