London Ultra Low Emission Zone
London Mayor, Sadiq Khan has announced his intention to implement the Central London ULEZ early, from 8 April 2019. The zone will cover the same area as the congestion charge zone, it will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will affect all vehicles. The Mayor will also consult on expanding this to the whole of Greater London, for heavy duty vehicles, from 2020.
The minimum standard for buses, coaches and HGV to enter the zone without charge, is Euro VI for both NOx and particulate matter, vehicles retrofitted with approved retrofit technologies can also enter the zone without charge. Eminox SCRT® achieves emissions levels equivalent to Euro VI and is already approved for upgrading TfL buses. Official approved to the Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme will follow soon.
