Many major cities in the UK face issues with poor air quality; a Clean Air Zone is a zone where focused action on air quality is needed. 29 Local Authorities is the UK will need to produce plans for action on air quality, draft plans are expected by March 2018. These plans could range from access restrictions based on vehicle emissions, to more targeted measures such as bus retrofit schemes.

In addition, Scotland will introduce four Low Emissions Zones (LEZ) including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee. The first zone, likely to be Glasgow, will be introduced by the end of 2018, with the rest to follow by 2020.

Eminox SCRT can be retrofitted to older vehicles to meet Euro VI emissions levels, proven in real world operation. This gives access to Clean Air Zones and eligibility for targeted retrofit programmes and funded schemes. SCRT also meets the requirements for the London Ultra Low Emission Zone.
