Eminox announces investment in new Gainsborough facility

Eminox, one of Europe’s leading emissions technology providers, has announced a multi-million-pound investment in a new Lincolnshire factory to accommodate increased production and future growth. The new site is based on the Corringham Road estate and will be fully operational from 12 August 2013.

“Eminox has been in Gainsborough for 25 years and we’re delighted to have found a suitable location just two miles from our existing site,” said Nick Lyons, Managing Director, Eminox. “Despite a challenging economic climate we are proud to be sending out a very positive message; for Eminox, for Lincolnshire and for British engineering as a whole.”

Factory

Eminox’s success as a market leading designer and manufacturer of exhaust and emissions control products has seen it outgrow its current factory. It is transforming a brownfield site in Gainsborough into a 7,000 square metre manufacturing and office facility, representing an increase of over 30% in manufacturing and office space.

Due to its commitment to the existing workforce, the move represents the culmination of a multi-year search for a suitable location within a 20-mile radius of the existing site. The factory building has been completely refurbished and re-clad and is in the process of being fitted out. A new office block is also currently under construction, with local company Lindum Construction carrying out all of the building work.

Eminox is a major success story for British engineering, having supplied emissions products to the Original Equipment and retrofit markets throughout Europe, Asia and South America for the past 20 years. It currently supplies products to major international Original Equipment Manufacturers such as Volvo, Volvo Penta, Iris Bus, Caterpillar, Liebherr and Iveco. It also continues to address the retrofit market as the most popular choice for operators looking to meet the requirements of the London Low Emission Zone and is an approved supplier for other major retrofit programmes around the world.

“The EU has designated 2013 as the Year of Air as cities across the continent continue the fight to improve air quality and meet pollution limits,” said Jog Lall, Sales and Marketing Director at Eminox. “This is the perfect time for Eminox to move to larger facilities to accommodate increased demand.”

Eminox’s emission products help to meet EU Air Quality legislation for the reduction of exhaust gas pollutants, Particulate Matter (PM), Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbons (HC) for the on and non-road markets. The company’s in-house R&D and new product development facilities enable it to take initial concepts through to supply of finished product.
