We are looking for a permanent Aftersales Service Technician to be based in London. You will be involved in the diagnostics, repair and service of Engine exhaust after treatment devices and stainless steel exhaust systems for HGV and PSV vehicles. A general sound working knowledge of diesel, automotive electrical, air and fuel systems will be required along with Mechanical skills. The role is a field service engineering role, and will involve a continuous amount of UK travel and overnight stays. This will include significant work in London over the next few years. Potentially, international travel may be required. A flexibility to work night shifts as and when required is also essential.
We are looking for an Applications Technician to join our current team. The position will involve working with customers internal and external in the design, development, fitment and testing of the Eminox product range. The role will be suited to a time served, conscientious car or commercial vehicle technician who has an eye for detail and who wishes to enhance their skills, knowledge and career ambitions in a dynamic forward thinking business. The post although based in Lincolnshire, will demand extensive UK travel which is fully expensed. The successful candidate will need to display an in depth knowledge of modern vehicle electrical, air and fuel systems, as well as having previous experience with vehicles at Euro 4,5 and 6 emission standards. All this will need to be coupled with the ability to operate under your own initiative with minimal supervision.
The government has now published its draft Air Quality Plan, outlining how it will tackle air pollution, particularly nitrogen dioxide, in our towns and cities. The draft plan is for consultation, with the final plan due for publication by 31 July.
The most-polluting vehicles will have to meet tought emissions stansards or pay a daily charge to drive within central London from 8 April 2019 under bold proposals announced today by the Mayor of London.
Sadiq Khan is also proposing to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), across Greater London for heavy diesel vehicles, including buses, coaches and lorries, in 2020.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is calling on bus operators to take faster action on updating their fleets, as new figures show upgrading London’s buses with Euro VI vehicles could cut NOx emissions produced by buses in the capital by up to 75%.
