The main role will be to ensure that new product introduction within Eminox Ltd is managed in line with the expectations of cost, quality and delivery whilst achieving the technical specifications. These projects will usually be focused on Heavy Duty Diesel emissions reduction technologies and will involve ensuring project milestones are achieved in line with the project plan.

The current political drive to improve emissions within our society is forcing the need for technology to deliver significant improvements in diesel engine tailpipe emissions. With the adaptation of newer vehicles and more stringent air quality standards the complexity of these emissions system has greatly increased. This opportunity comes at an exciting time where the business is looking at expanding its portfolio of emissions products to cover heavy good vehicles, non-road and rail applications. This is in addition to the roll out of established bus applications across the UK’s clean air zones. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or assist in the monitoring of field trials
• Lead or assist in the development of verification and validation plans to Eminox standards
• Lead or assist in the development of new products
• Keep the RPD Manager informed of any issues which may affect the successful completion of the project
• Co-ordinate the scheduling/frequency of project meetings and directing the meeting as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and concise documentation
• Ensure that projects meet the requirements laid down in internal procedures to satisfy IATF 16949
• Ensure that products meet Type Approval requirements

• Responsible for leading and motivating project team members (as allocated)

• To agree technical specifications and time schedules with the RPD Manager
• Ensure projects meet the requirements in terms of technical specification, quality, and delivery

Person Specification:

Education and Qualifications:

• HND/Degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering

Technical Knowledge and Ability:
• Understanding of IC engine fundamentals and/or exhaust after treatment devices (desirable)
• Understanding of automotive CAN systems, in particular J1939 (desirable)
Previous Experience:

• Experience of working in cross-functional teams
• Liaison with customers and suppliers
• Experience in an automotive environment
• Experience of working with integrated IT packages
