SCR System

SCR System

The Eminox SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) system reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx) from diesel engine exhausts. Our SCR system is supplied as original equipment and to fleet customers for retrofit to allow Euro 1 to 3 vehicles to meet Euro 4 and 5 NOx emissions levels.

The system is suitable for buses, trucks and other heavy duty vehicles, with each system tailored to the needs of individual vehicles. Different configurations, including linear and close coupled, are designed to fit a range of space envelopes. Eminox is a proven original equipment supplier of SCR systems, as well as retrofit systems supplied across Europe.

It can also be used with our market leading CRT® (Continuously Regenerating Trap) in a combined Eminox SCRT system which, as well as reducing NOx, also reduces particulate matter, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.

SCR System Emissions Performance

The Eminox SCR reduces up to 70% of nitrogen oxides, to achieve this AdBlue is injected into the system. When used in conjunction with a CRT® system, it can also reduce particulate matter, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide by more than 90%.

SCR Graph

NOx is removed by injecting a precisely calculated dose of AdBlue into a unique mixing section; this is converted to ammonia, which neutralizes the nitrogen oxides to produce a harmless mixture of water and nitrogen. A unique injector design combined with an automated nozzle cleaning strategy prevents nozzle blocking.

AdBlue dosing is actively managed to avoid deposits and ammonia slip. The system also incorporates an extra clean up catalyst to neutralize any excess ammonia.
